On The Road...Alone

All the paths we take,
all the roads we travel,
are travelled alone.
Even when we are in the company
of family and friends,
we are alone.
Each one thinking of something or someone different.
No one can share the exact same experiences,
therefore, we are essentially alone.
Alone, Like a tall powerful-looking building standing on its own.
Alone, like wet streets on a cold winter day when no one dares to go outside.
Funny,
how this street is normally so busy,
and now,
so abandoned,
like life.
One moment we are surrounded by loved ones
and the next
alone,
the only company we have is sorrow and sadness
to fill that empty void.
So we walk along the empty street,
travel the loneliness,
and figure out that we are not really alone.
We always have memories to fill the void.
Memories of a journey taken on a street
that was lonely along with you.
A simple road shared with you hopes and dreams.
A simple road shared with you a future that brings light and comfort.
Something to be grateful for.
Lonely roads are the best way to realize that
cold winter days do not last forever,
that tall strong-looking buildings do not stand alone for long.
A journey taken
is in itself an experience.
We are alone...
but not for long.

Jesus, this makes anyone think. you always have yourself, for more lonely that you feel, you'll always have you.
