Bernardo Sassetti (Jazz)

Bernardo Sassetti is a Portuguese pianist.
He was born in Lisbon (in 1970). He started his career in 1987. Since then he has achieved many projects and he’s recognized. He does many duets with renowned musicians, in many countries, and some of them featured in Sassetti’s albums.
He started his passion when he was nine, he knew at that time he wanted to learn how to play a classic piano. He went to Academia dos Amadores de Música to improve his skills. He dedicated himself very hardly to jazz music and he still does it apart of doing other things, like he says: “other passions”. He is notorious for being skillful. He compuses music for cinema and he is an amadator photographer.
He continues to play his music in concerts, some local clubs and in innumerable festivals.
He was nominated for Mercury Awards 95.
The element of his music his basically jazz, improvised music enjoys him very much.
His first release was on April in 1994. Since then he released more albums: "Ao vivo no Guimarães jazz"; "Dundumbanza" and; "Tibiri tabara"; "Impressões" and "Olhar"; "Passagem"; "What love is"; "Ecos de África"; "Sons do Brasil"; "Mundos"; "Fragments (Of Cinematic Illusion)"; "Entropé"; “4 Movimentos Soltos"; "Indigo"; "Livre" and “Ascent” is his most recent music’s piano solo.
Recently he is dedicating himself to music for cinema; some of his work has being done for four years. Sassetti says: “The cinema fascinates me.” “I need the image, the colour and the face of the characters to compose the music”, says himself.

Thanks Pipa for introducing me to this theme, I really don't appreciate Jazz music, it's just not my thing, but I enjoy listen to great pianists playing classic music as Beethoven and Chopin. Here you show me a portuguese pianist and so I know that I'm going to search more information about him and his style.

I already said this in the corrected work!
