With this weather it is always good to have a fire somewhere near you.. you can always go to Sobral do Campo and spend a weekend there! I, for example,don't have another place to go to as you do..

What memories do you have of fires?

Those at home - keeping the hearth warm in front of the glow? Reading books, keeping toes warm?

Those fires unwanted during the summer heat?

Fires of passion within the heart?

lol allyson...we just enjoy the fire during the winter. in my village, sobral do campo, there's a tradition at the Christmas eve (like the other villages around Castelo Branco, but our fire is the best). on the 24th of december we light up a big,huge fire in front of the church, and so(usually) at 12p.m. they started to put the fire on and it lastes until the new year. it's a nice tradition that keeps the young people all night at the streets drinking and then eating near the christmas fire.
in summer we don't need the fire because up there the weather is very hot...
and the fires of passion are always wanted...theresn't nothing better as to be in love and be loved!! :D
